Who We Are
Leah and Vicky first met at a Waldorf Steiner Parent & Child group with their daughters, when Leah was shop manager for ONE Planet community cooperative in Accrington and Vicky was starting her own educational alternative, Great & Small Forest Education.
Through a shared appreciation of nature and holistic living, a decade later, serendipity brought them together again. An established shop on Queen Street was facing closure but Vicky made the decision to take over the local, Zero-Waste Refill shop, wanting to keep an eco-conscious shopping alternative on the high street of her home town and to build a more health-conscious way of living for herself, her family and the wider community. So she added another business, helped by Leah with her shopkeeping knowledge and consciousness of organic produce and wholefoods.
They created Fill & Flow because they care — about the food we eat, the waste we create, and the kind of world we’re handing down. The shop is a traditional high street presence, where people can call in for a chat, a smile and the kind of products that help you live a little better, without the pressure - but also with the convenient offer of the delivery box service, all delivered to your door !
Vicky
​Vicky is steady, bold and resilient. She’s the foundation and the overseer, making sure everything works behind the scenes and is moving in the right direction. A Great Harwood lass and business owner of two outstanding educational settings - Great and Small Forest School and Great and Small Kindergarten. She has the ideas and the grit to make those ideas reality.
Leah
​Leah is warmth and energy. She’s got a big heart, a twinkle in her eye and a brilliant sense for what makes people feel at home. She loves to help people to make better choices that make them feel good. She also understands how important compromise can be to ethical shopping. Conscientious and meticulous, she’s the one balancing the cost of the products with the benefits to our wellbeing and the natural world.
But for her, the eco-friendly choice is just common sense.
