Just last year I started my journey on a path to a better sense of wellbeing. Not that my being was particularly 'unwell', but as a mum, wife and business owner I felt as though I was juggling a lot. Now, I'm pretty good at juggling but still my mind was constantly whirring, I had difficulty sleeping, I was getting cranky with the children and husband, my health and fitness wasn't great and from a professional point of view, I was just bobbing along like a little boat on a stream, not really being able to focus and propel forward with the ideas and creativity that buzz within me. I felt a bit stagnant.

The funny thing is I knew what I needed to do all the time. My 'everyday' business is that I own and direct two childcare settings. Both are fantastic and we follow a really beneficial educational ethos that allows children the freedom to play, explore, investigate, learn and thrive in their own unique and holistic way. One of my settings is a forest school, completely outdoors in my private woodland where children can run, play, slip, slide, dig, splash, climb...whatever they want to do...all in the fresh air, being connected to and nurtured by nature. Now I can sing the benefits of Forest School for all ages from the treetops, in fact I am an associate trainer for a training company based in Milton Keynes and offer accredited training for others to become Forest School leaders, but I'd forgotten to heed my own advice. I was too cooped up in the office dealing with the admin side of things and I hadn't got my wellies on and gone outside, in the fresh air! So I did!

I was once again struck with the huge rewards and benefits that gave to my wellbeing. Which then inspired me to help other adults to find their flow to improve their wellbeing. I trained as Fresh Air Fridays facilitator in mid Wales last October, where I met my fabulous friend Helen of Coaching Natures Way (see her page above) and together we have put together a plan for our 'Wellies and Wellbeing' sessions which shall combine coaching and hands on confidence and self esteem boosting activities (forest school for grown ups!) in the woodland.

Now I'm not a finished product of my journey, I'm very much still walking the path and sometimes it's twistier than others. As I write this right now, my wonderful and much loved dad is in a hospice receiving end of life care. Myself and my family are really having to dig deep to maintain strength and balance to support ourselves and each other. I'm still juggling as many balls, probably more, but with the support and practices that I've learned and continue to learn, I feel more confident, assured and stronger to follow my flow.

The services and products that feature on this website are those that I, and Helen, can provide ourselves or that have found beneficial to our wellbeing journeys. The services, products, shops/suppliers are 'tried and tested', that we find benefit and value from, enjoy and trust. Our blogs written by either myself, Helen or our guest bloggers are intended to relate, inspire, guide and support. We welcome conversation but we always ask for respect. Like the roots of a Cherry tree that feed and strengthen and help the tree blossom, this network is intended to support us all to find our flow and to bloom. Welcome to your Flow!

Much love,

Vicky xx
